The 1st of July 2025 took place the first edition of the European Farmhouse and Artisan Cheese Day. The occasion has been established by FACE Network in order to involve artisan and farmhouse cheesemakers of Europe and their customers celebrating the values of handcrafted cheese and dairy products.

All along the week around the 1.July many producers from different countries participated sharing through their social media profiles pictures and videos using the frames created by FACE Network.
Also the game about artisan and farmhouse cheese culture launched on the network website has been played: the page registered over 160000 clicks and about 800 visitors.

The national organisations encouraged the involvment of their member in different ways. The Ukraine association ACPU, for example, reached the best results offering the possibility to win a prize. Associazione delle Casare e dei Casari di Azienda Agricola in Italy increased the participation by a message from the president empowering the feeling of membership.

This first edition was a starting point, the organisers hope for an improvement of participation and widespread celebrations for the next years. The goal is to let in the future the European Farmhouse and Artisan Cheese Day become more and more an important moment of sharing among the European cheese producers and cheese lovers as well.
