The event brought together producers, retailers, and industry partners in a dynamic environment designed to elevate Swedish cheese both domestically and internationally. A particularly strong presence came from Sveriges Gårdsmejerister, whose member dairies continue to champion craftsmanship, regional identity, and sustainable farmstead production.

Throughout the weekend, visitors engaged with tastings, competitions, and expert-led evaluations that highlighted the depth and diversity of Swedish cheesemaking. Industry distinctions such as Årets Ostprofil, Årets Hederspris, and Årets Ostdisk celebrated excellence across the value chain, while consumer-driven activities like Ostkampen—with more than 800 participants—demonstrated growing public enthusiasm for locally produced specialty cheeses. The scientific cheese competition, featuring over 95 blind-tasted entries, further underscored the sector’s commitment to quality and sensory precision, with many Sveriges Gårdsmejerister members receiving awards.

Supported by partners across the dairy and food ecosystem—and anchored by organizations like Sveriges Gårdsmejerister—the festival remains a powerful promotional engine driving visibility, collaboration, and long-term growth for Swedish cheese.
