The Käse Festival of Campo Tures is a European cheese fest!

The 13th-15th of March 2026, the 16th edition of the Käse Festival took place in Campo Tures, Südtirol, Italy. Once more, the event confirmed its European soul through the participation of more than 100 exhibitors coming from different countries between producers, mongers and Slow Food Presidia.

Martin Pircher, owner of the Despar grocery of the village and founder of the Käse Festival follows a winning philosophy: to enhance local cheeses inviting high quality exhibitors from many Italian areas and half Europe, to involve gourmet visitors with a rich program of activities and have fun!

Especially, the Graukäse, the special cheese made of skimmed milk, represents strongly the local identity and it’s without doubt the protagonist of the fair.
Some highlights of the event: tasting classes of Italian, Norwegian and Portuguese cheeses, kids labs and a rich programme of show cooking involving European starred chefs, curated by the local chef Tina Marcelli.

But what is mostly appreciated by producers and visitors is the friendly atmosphere: organisers and exhibitors after many editions became like a “cheese family”, sharing the same vision of quality and meeting every two years in this little village of Aurina Valley at the Austrian border. Actually the Käse Festival, more than a “festival” is a real fest!
